The Goblin Children Of Belfast
March 16, 2008
I just had another run-in with the goblin children of Belfast. They swagger around in packs, each of them barely hitting four feet tall. Several times, I have been ambling through town, lost in thought. The goblin children would barely brush past me-- and scream. Just to make me jump.Today, one of the goblin children, sedate, walked past me with his army. "Hiya," he said.
I looked up from the sidewalk. "Hey," I answered.
They got a few paces past me, whispering. Then a loud chorus of "Hey baby, heeeeeey baby, hi," echoed behind me. The sound of feet slapping against the pavement. A thunk against the back of my head.
I whirled around. "Did you just throw something at me..." I trailed off, watching the tiniest blonde goblin child grinning madly and racing back to his friends. "You can just fuck right off, kid!" I shouted after him. And looked down.
They had thrown half a stick of wrapped gum at my head.
I can't tell if this means the goblin children like me or not.

Today I'm packing and getting ready to foray into London town. Hopefully I'll be there a good long while, and hopefully much music will come of it. If you haven't seen it yet, the joyful wonder that is Team Genius has crafted a stunning video for A Dream Of Gardens.
Pass it on. I'm really proud and excited by what they've done.
(P.S. Watch this.)

So Here We Go.
March 12, 2008
Inaugural entry. Too late on a Tuesday night, I'm listening to the rain through the window in Belfast. Fresh paint is drying on the walls, and I finally have a site up for all these sonic babies I keep birthing. Hurrah! I should probably break a champagne bottle over my laptop to christen this little ship, but I'm afraid I'll never get it out of the keyboard. Instead, a toast! An Irish toast, at that: May you be in heaven a full half hour before the devil knows you're dead.Welcome, pull up a chair, listen to some songs-- I hope to be putting them up every week or so, and if you join the mailing list I'll drop you a line as they're released. Cheers!
