Gypsies And Violins

April 24, 2008

Things have been a bit busy the last week, and I'm about to disappear to Scotland for a handful of days-- but when I return! There will be a lovely music-making-midi-machine at my side, which is very exciting. I will also be getting my top hat, and my Camden leather jacket, and my travelling hula hoop. All of which are really good things.

Things that are cool this week: Mark Bobb sent me a version of Violently Back with his wonderful violin-playing threaded in, which made me ridiculously happy.

Also, last night, I saw a gig with the lovely gypsy creature that is Noemie Ducimetiere, whom I met singing on a bridge in London a handful of months ago. She was the one singing, but somehow we ended up doing a duet of Cry Me A River to a crowd of strangers. I'm madly in love with her voice, and she is just more evidence that music in London is full of Good Things.
